Upcoming Jewellery and Metals Classes

Jewellery Techniques Sampler (Beginner)

6 Tuesdays, Feb. 7-March 14

This beginner jewellery course introduces students to a wide range of surface treatments (etching, roller printing, stamping, hammer textures and patinas), as well as hot and cold connections (soldering and riveting) and some simple chain making. Students will leave with several pieces of finished jewellery. Projects could include pendants, earrings, bracelets or rings.
$236 course fee
$30 materials fee (includes copper, brass, and some silver- extra silver will be available for purchase.)

I will be offering more classes, as well as weekend and one-day workshops in the new year. Topics will include:

Courses will be offered at Studiolo the spacious new studio I will be sharing with Peggy Logan, who also teaches jewellery and enamel courses. (Peggy's website: www.electrictiara.com). Studiolo will be at 1177 Parker St., in the Mergatroid Building, and will open in early January, 2012.

Studiolo features small class sizes (max. 6 students), a friendly atmosphere, central location, and well-equipped studio.
